Three big poker freeroll events are in the works for the CheckRayz Leaderboard. For starters, River Belle have become the Official Sponsor of the CheckRayz Leaderboard. Big shout out and thank you to River Belle Poker! What this means to you, the readers and CheckRayz members is that we're throwin' a huge party in the poker room onboard the River Belle! Actually, make that three parties. Yea, you read correctly, there is going to be three CheckRayz Leaderboard events in the month of April to crown our first quarter CheckRayz Leaderboard Poker Tour champion. The details of the three events are as follows:

Event 1 - CheckRayz Leaderboard Rewards at River BelleThis first event is a "by invitation only" $200 freeroll, hosted by CheckRayz at the Poker Room onboard the River Belle. Everyone who has obtained Leaderboard Points in the first quarter will be invited to this event via an email from me (pay special attention to the "how to RSVP" section which will be contained in this email). This Leaderboard Tournament is designed to reward everyone who had a top nine finish at any of the CheckRayz endorsed poker tourneys we've held during the first quarter. The winner will will earn his or her way into event number three (see below).

Event Number 2 - CheckRayz Leaderboard Shootout at River Belle Poker to crown the official first quarter champion.Once again, "by invitation only" this time, however, only the top ten in CheckRayz Leaderboard points are eligable (as of March 31st, 2006). This event will also be a $200 freeroll, courtesy of our official leaderboard sponsor, River Belle Poker. Make no mistakes... while this is a small field (ten peeps) this shootout championship poker tourney stands to be the toughest event to date on the CheckRayz tour. The winner of the CheckRayz Leaderboard Shootout Championship will be crowned the official CheckRayz Poker Tour Champion for the first Quarter of 2006, and will also win his or her way into event three (see below). Additionally, he or she will be guaranteed a spot in similar events one and three for the remaining three quarters of 2006! Oh, I nearly forgot, the winner of this top ten event, in addition to the above, will also find an extra $50 of the Beer Guy's hard earned cash transferred to them, paying homage to the newly crowned champion.

Event number three - $100 winner takes all CheckRayz Leaderboard ChallengeBoth the winner of the CheckRayz Leaderboard Rewards (event 1), and the newly crowned CheckRayz Leaderboard Poker Tour Champion, as crowned in event number 2 will receive an automatic invitation to this $100 winner takes all CheckRayz Leaderboard Challenge. It comes as no surprise that this event is also a freeroll and is being held once again (say it with me folks) at the poker room onboard the River Belle. cancelling touchstone tourney...

I sent a request to the rep at touchstone poker to cancel the freeroll tonight that checkrayz were supposed to hold. The problems and issues as a result of my scheduling a tourney with them is too circus like to support us holding the tourney there.

I've had more "please help" emails than registrations. My understanding is their customer support is doing little to help our members (maybe their hands are tied too, who knows). In any event, I'm pulling the plug on the tourney from a league standpoint. If the tourney holds, good luck to those who entered. If not, I appologize to everyone, both those who registered and those who tried and tried unsuccessfully to do so.

Question - "Why can I not register for the TouchStone Poker Freeroll Tourney / What is the password for the TouchStone Poker Freeroll Tourney with CheckRayz?"

Answer - First, did you download through one of the CheckRayz links? Like, perhaps this one, for example right here. Ok, once you're certain you downloaded from me, you log on to the TouchStone Poker client. I assume you've created an account with them already... you know, user name and password. If not, please do so before reading further.

1 - Download & Install Software
2 - Create a Player Account
3 - Complete the user details form by clicking on the "cashier" button in the bottom left corner of the lobby in the game. Don't forget to click on the "Save Changes" at the bottom. Close the website window.
4 - Close the poker room software and wait 30 minutes. Your pass will be available when you reopen the poker room software after 30 minutes.

5. OK, got the user name and pw thing goin on with them? Excellent! Click on "tournaments" and then "scheduled" and locate the CheckRayz freeroll tourney. Double click on the CheckRayz tourney. You'll see the tourney lobby. Click "register." A registration box will pop up. There is a field called "exchange." There will be a coupon there, if you scroll down. Consequently, we're exchanging a coupon for entry into this tourney... Kinda neat if you ask me. Give them your coupon and join the tourney... Easy enough, right? Well, just as long as you know you need a coupon.

Question - "I can't log on to the CheckRayz site to join the Freeroll Tourney (insert tourney of choice here) and get the password. Can you help?"

Answer - First, go to the CheckRayz site. Click Forgot Password. I've taken the liberty of making it easier for you by providing the link here. Type the email address in which you think you registered with us in the box provided. Click Submit.

A password should be generated to the email address provided... well, unless you're not a member, at which time the page would tell you such things. So, if it says you're not a member, either retype your email address and try again or register for the CheckRayz site.

Anyways, let's assume that you clicked submit and a password was delivered. Go to your email account and retreive this letter. Got it? ok, good. Come back to CheckRayz and focus your attention on the box on the right side of the page... you know what I'm talking about, the one that says "Login to CheckRayz." Ok, keep focusing...

Now, I'm gonna throw ya for a loop here, but this is the only way to make sure we get this right the first try. Remember that email I said to hold onto? Well, I meant keep it in a spot accessable to you right now. We're going to highlight the text of that letter I sent ya... Wait, not yet!!! Find your email address on that letter. Highlight that. To highlight, hold the left mouse button and scroll over your email address. Once you've done that, let go of the mouse button. OK, now your email address is neatly highlighted. This is going to take some coordination, but now I'd like you to press the CTRL key on your keyboard AND the C button on your keyboard at the same time. Did it? Good! U've copied your email address to the clipboard. OK, come back to the login box. Now we're going to PASTE that info into the appropriate "email" field by pressing (at the same time once again) CTRL and V. Got it? Excellent!!!

Now find your password on the email. Highlight it, Ctrl C it, go to the password block and Ctrl V it. Then press submit and BAM!!! You're logged onto the site, unless you're not. At which time try again and if that doens't work, email me.
